We have approximately 40+ percent of our students who speak Spanish. We offer LCSW in the community that are bilingual for bilingual students to learn from and develop advanced skills during practicum/internship.
CMU has a strong Latinx student population (around 20.6%) with a Latinx/Mexican Vice President, Dr. Montoya. Furthermore, our last MSW graduation was half in English and half In Spanish to support families/student and celebrate the connection of the two. Families have access to English translation ear buds if needed.
