Community Building Retreat
Through our Adams County grant partnership, Latinx Therapist Project (LTP) was able to offer a Community Holding Retreat dedicated to supporting the well-being, connection, and personal growth of mental health professionals serving Spanish-speaking communities in Adams County.
This retreat was created with the intention of providing a space for clinicians to step away from their everyday responsibilities and come together in an environment centered on healing, reflection, and community. Guided by the theme “Grieving the Past You to Make Way for the New You,” the retreat was facilitated by Norka Ayllón, Licensed Professional Counselor, and incorporated culturally grounded practices, somatic activities, and intentional reflection centered on release, transformation, and renewal.
Beyond the retreat experience, this initiative reflected LTP’s commitment to creating opportunities for mental health professionals to feel supported, build meaningful connections, and prioritize their own well-being. Made possible through funding from Adams County, this retreat was offered free of charge to eligible professionals serving Spanish-speaking communities in Adams County, recognizing the importance of caring for those who dedicate their work to caring for other
