2026 Mental Health Careers Conference

Conference overview

April 17, 2026 | Front Range Community College, Westminster Campus

On April 17, 2026, Latinx Therapist Project (LTP), in partnership with Front Range Community College (FRCC), hosted our inaugural Mental Health Careers Conference, bringing together over 100 students, aspiring professionals, educators, and mental health professionals for a day of learning, networking, and career exploration.

This conference was made possible through our grant partnership with Adams County, whose funding and support allowed LTP to develop and implement this initiative as part of our shared commitment to strengthening Colorado’s mental health workforce. Through this partnership, we were able to offer the conference free of charge, helping remove financial barriers and creating opportunities for students and community members to explore educational and professional pathways in the behavioral health field.

In collaboration with Front Range Community College, we worked to create an accessible and welcoming environment where individuals at different stages of their educational and professional journeys could explore their interests, ask questions, and connect with educational institutions, employers, and mental health professionals.

Throughout the day, attendees participated in educational breakout sessions, professional panels, and interactive discussions covering topics such as academic pathways, graduate education, career opportunities, and the experiences of Latino mental health professionals. The conference also featured a networking and resource fair, allowing participants to connect with universities, graduate programs, employers, and community organizations.

Through the combined support of Adams County, Front Range Community College, and our participating community partners, this conference created a meaningful opportunity to increase awareness of mental health careers, strengthen connections between education and the workforce, and inspire the next generation of mental health professionals.

The success of our inaugural conference marked an exciting first step toward establishing an annual Mental Health Careers Conference in collaboration with colleges, universities, and community colleges throughout Colorado, continuing our efforts to expand access, increase representation, and strengthen the mental health workforce.
